Living with nature – culture of the Ainu
Featuring a distinctive Ainu-inspired entrance concept designed by renowned architect Kengo Kuma, the hotel has extra-large suites (47 sqm – 229 sqm ) to afford a new level of comfort and relaxation in this recreation paradise. The areaʼs deep powder snow provides an unbeatable skiing/snowboarding experience in winter, and thereʼs a whole host of outdoor recreational activities to enjoy in other seasons.
Niseko has amazing scenery – a clear contrast with city life. Here are our own videos, and some others that Niseko Resort Tourist Association produced.
It’s 2 hours driving distance from New Chitose Airport or Sapporo.

Wow! what a relief after spending the first 3 nights in Japan in tiny, claustrophobic hotel rooms we arrived in this stunning resort. Surrounded by green, luscious landscape and staff speaking adequate English. The room was beautiful, modern, clean and comfortable. More attention could be made to instructions for appliance use.... the humidifier looked dangerously like a kettle!! All hotel compendiums in Japan hotels that we stayed in were devoid of intelligible English language....they need to lift their game before the 2020 Olympics!
One of the two biggest breweries in Huntsville, there is always a large selection of brews to choose from. There will be something for everyone. However, if you're looking for personal service and an intimate atmosphere, you're better off choosing one of the smaller breweries.
Yellowhammer is a great brewer, crafting superb beers in and old brick school campus that somehow provides the perfect setting for not only touring the brewery, but enjoying excellent brews and fare in a lively atmosphere where everyone feels welcome.
Stopped in for a beer, and stayed for the great company. Thankfully it was a slower day so I was able to spend most of the early afternoon chatting with the staff and other patrons, and had a great time. The beers were great as always, and the selection has really grown since the last time I visited. The taproom is great with a pizza place in house and plenty of room inside and out.
I tried a flight of beer that included Frankenhammer, Kellerbier, and Yellowhammer Oktoberfest. I really loved the Oktoberfest and ended up buying some to take home before we left. The keg urinal was a nice touch.
Second stay in about five years. It was a wonderful hotel as ever. Especially the breakfast is delicious. Hot springs are also good. The open-air bath feels good. The staff is great. Inconvenient location if not by car. I want to go again.
